Yes.. It’s me checking it works from iPhone :p

The coolest thing that has ever happened on TV recently is the free sceening of Animax to all SCV subscribers.

Animax used to be avaliable to subscribers only.  I  wonder who on earth would pay to watch outdated or maybe childish anime series?  Maybe I’m too old for most series, but Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Inuyasha the Ending is definetely worth watching free (even though we were watching the later episodes).

The boo about having Animax now is the ending of these 2 series which just left a lull in my life . Meh. Hopefully Animax is able to get some good anime soon and what seemed like a gimmick is here to stay for good. *fingers cross*

And yes, this is part of the reason why I’m back here again :p

Watch This Space!

Back in action after some time off in cyberspace. I’ve decided to actually put in a new Category on the right called WaTch ThIs SpAce. This will basically acts as a mini-rotation and updates of stuff which I thought is interesting. Shall experiment with that space to see how things go. If it goes well, it may end up permanently here.

Till then..

Reflections for 2006

Every time around this year, I’m always doing this…

I Did Not :

  • Travel to anywhere (not for work and leisure at all! )

  • Finish any Drama series in one sitting! (just a few episodes here & there)

  • Splurge on any branded bags (no
Louis Vuitton or Gucci or Prada bags/wallets)

  • Party till I puke badly..or suffer from any alcohol poisoning

I Did :

  • Read & bought a lot of Manga

  • Bought and followed closely with some Anime

  • Started dabbling with a few scanlations

  • Became more vocal and expressing my displeasure with low service standards

  • Officially become an aunty when my cousin gave birth recently (*Congrats*)

  • Checked out some nice wine drinking places (Wine Company  & Wine Network at Dempsey Road, Villa Bali near Alexandra Road, Loof at Odeon Towers near Raffles Hotel)

  • Discovered new restaurants ( Greenwood Fish Bistro & Market ) and others at Greenwood Avenue.  Totally fall in love with the ambience of the whole stretch, minus the hefty prices for some of them.

Alright, that sums it up for now.

Changing of Blog?!

This is another result of surfing through the net too often and too much!

Came across an interesting blog by another fellow citizen, was totally impressed by it – the layout and everything. For a messy person like me, who can’t find her stuff, always late, can’t wake up in the mornings for work, losing track of what manga have I read before, etc., I thought wordpress seems impressive.

Decide to ‘migrate’ here without a 2nd thought. The idea of having everything in its like pockets is so tempting.. Maybe i’ll just start exploring this first..before I get distracted to do other stuff 😛

Let me know what you think of this layout..Arigato!

Shedding of Skins

Shedding of Skins

This is my 3rd blogskin so far…decided to get rid of the black look once again, after doing twice in a row.
Totally love this new skin..is taken from my favourite manga, NANA.
This blogskin shows the couple, Nana and Ren, whose relationship seems to survive quite a number of hurdles – long-distance, possible side romances. Inspirational..i think.

Now presently reading other books by Ai Yazawa – the same mangaka who did NANA..shall do a summary once I’ve finished with the manga.

Its only TALK

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Part of the 19th International Film Fest…, this won the Best Asian Film Award for 2006.

A Japanese show that talks about a single, umemployed, manic depressiveYuko and her encounters with a university friend, a self-confessed pervert,a manic depressive yuzaka, and her cousin, Sochi.

Sochi came to visit, after leaving his family and being dumped by his lover..& ended up taking care of Yuko.  Sochi is suffering from another form of depression as well….one of the favourite moments in the show was when Yuko discover that the man, Sochi, can actually do housework well.  But why don’t he help out at home at all? Why?!  Mainly it’s due to the fact that he’s depressed at home & don’t feel like doing any of these things…In the end, he leftYuko & return to his family to start life again?!! Continue reading
